Yulia Artsiomava

Yulia Artsiomava is a Belarusian writer. She was born in 1985 in Minsk, Belarus. In 2013, she graduated from the Law Faculty of Belarusian State University. In 2021, she left Belarus for political reasons and moved to Ukraine, where lived until 2024. She is currently based in Otwock, Poland.

Artsiomava was a finalist in a PEN Center competition marking the centenary of the *Nasha Niva* newspaper (2006). She is the author of the novella »I Am the Revolution« (in Russian), which was published in 2021 by »Pflaumbaum« in collaboration with »Vremya Publishers«. In 2026, the Warsaw-based »Myane Nyama« independent Belarusian initiative released her second book–the first part of the autofictional novel »While I Was Searching for Words« (in Russian). That same year, »Mauke Verlag« launched the German translation of »I Am the Revolution«.

Artsiomava work has appeared in various magazines, online publications, and anthologies, including the collection »Roots/Leaves« (Warsaw, 2024) and the essay anthology »I Am Coming to You, People« (Pflaumbaum, 2026).
