"Candidate of Faith" is a composite image of
my sensations and feelings.
There are no coincidences in real events here.
The frame with a briefcase was inspired by a provocative wallet scene with Jules (Samuel L.Jackson) and Vincent (John Travolta) in a standoff with Ringo (Tim Roth) and Yolanda (Amanda Plummer) in the film "Pulp Fiction" by Quentin Tarantino.
A diary entry:
"For the past three years, my life has been unfolding as a series of gray anxiety-drenched scenes - a neverending path growing heavier with each step. A life that I observe, unable to comprehend or shape it - a life slipping from my grasp.
I've always been comfortable with myself but now solitude has turned into loneliness, the world has become small, and I feel like a big heavy rolling stone
that doesn't fit the walls of the room.
A bullet shot from the heart.
From this moment on, I promise myself to cherish and love this life carefully instead of hiding in memories tinted with bright colors - a space where I have always failed to realize
what happiness looks like.
I am a candidate in faith.
I am learning to believe in myself,
in people and the world,
in love and justice."
