Journalist, Photographer

Aksana Dabryianets

Aksana Dabryianets is a Belarusian journalist and photographer. After being forced to leave Belarus, she moved to Ukraine and later, due to the war, relocated to Poland.

Her work explores themes of migration, identity, and memory. In 2021, she created the photo project »Her Business«, dedicated to Belarusian women activists, which was exhibited in Lviv. In Poland, she developed the project »Migration Through the Eyes of Children«, curating a documentary photo exhibition that captured how young refugees perceive and process their new reality.

She is particularly interested in how distance and the digital environment transform our connections with loved ones and shape our perception of the past. Her projects incorporate archival images, digital glitches, and visual distortions to illustrate the fragility of memory and the inevitability of change.
